Home to restaurants like Remington’s Steak and Seafood, Kay’s Kitchen, and Provisions Coffee, the retail center on the northwest corner of East Bearss Avenue and North 30th Street will soon welcome a new pizza-focused concept.

“Pizza-focused” may in fact be an understatement. Called Baba Dough (baba means papa in a number of West Asian languages), the new restaurant opening at 2824 E Bearss Ave is going to serve up its New York-style pizza dough in ways you can’t find anywhere else in the area.

“There’s a few things we’re going to add to the menu that nobody has in Florida,” Zaid, who owns the upcoming restaurant, told What Now on Friday. “We’re going to do a breakfast pie made from New York dough, and the base will be egg, instead of mozzarella. I’ve searched, and no one is doing this. It’s delicious.”

Meanwhile, Baba Dough’s burger (the restaurant’s second unique offering) will be served on a New York pizza dough bun made in-house. Finally, third, a new dessert will feature Dubai chocolate on New York dough bread.

“That’s why we named it Baba Dough,” Zaid said. “We’re doing everything with that dough.”

On top of all that, Baba Dough will have a little something for everyone: ice cream for the kids (and, let’s be serious, for the adults too), plus a wine and beer list, including wine-based cocktails. And if you’re a student with a student ID, you can present it for 20% off.

Stay tune for more news on Baba Dough’s opening!
