Founded in 2013, “Original Alternative Culture Bar” Moon Mountain has locations in Brandon and Winter Haven, where it serves up coffee, tea, and kava concoctions. It’s now preparing to launch its third location, this time in St. Petersburg. According to recent coverage by St. Pete Rising, the new Moon Mountain is preparing to launch at 204 First Ave. N.

“Moon Mountain is your destination for exceptional beverages and a welcoming atmosphere,” says Moon Mountain’s website. “We proudly serve a wide range of drinks, including the finest Kava, locally roasted coffee, herbal and botanical teas, and many other favorite beverages.”

Moon Mountains Kava Mocktails include the Rosé Colored Glasses (Kava Elixir, TeBella Strawberry Rosé Tea, Sparkling Water, Strawberry Monin, Rose Monin, Lemon Juice – Stirred and Served Over Ice or Frozen), the Kava Sunrise (Kava Elixir, Orange Juice, Grenadine – Layered and Poured Over Ice), and the Sparkling Kosmonaut (Kava Elixir, Watermelon Monin, Lime Juice, Sparkling Water, Simple Syrup – Stirred and Served Over Ice).

“In case you haven’t stumbled into one of the many kava bars in St. Pete, kava is a plant from the Pacific Islands with roots that, when ingested, have a relaxing effect on the body, ease tension, and alleviate stress,” reads the St. Pete Rising coverage.

The St. Pete location, the coverage tells us, will add to its menu a selection of craft beers.
