The building on the northwest corner of North 56th Street and Puritan Road in Tampa’s Del Rio neighborhood may be about to welcome a new cafe and hookah spot.

This week, What Now came across plan review documents submitted by Kaif Cafe and Hookah Lounge LLC for a restaurant by that name (Kaif Cafe and Hookah Lounge). It would open at 8020 N 56th St.

The building in question is home to businesses like Chaney Cigar Lounge, Sherwin-Williams Paint Store, and 7-Eleven. In the space at 8020 N 56th St. is Costa Hookah Lounge, which is marked “Temporarily closed” on Google Maps. It may be that Kaif Cafe will be replacing it.

What Now reached out to owner Raed Sadi to ask about plans for the opening. Sadi was not immediately available for comment.

Stay tuned for more details about Kaif Cafe as they become available!
