Located where US Highway 19 North intersects with Timberlane Road in Palm Harbor, three-star hotel the Vue Lake Tarpon appears to be adding a new Mexican restaurant to its amenities. This week, What Now came across plan review documents submitted by Casa Mateo Mexican Kitchen and Cantina LLC for a restaurant by that name, opening at the hotel’s address, 8980 US Hwy 301. It would open in Suite 118.
What Now reached out on Monday to owner Kassandra Secundino to ask about plans for Casa Mateo. Secundino said an opening is expected at the end of November but declined to share any further details at this time.
Secundino is also part of the team behind Tacoquila Mexican Kitchen and Cantina, which is located Clearwater and New Port Richey. Tacoquila offers “vibrant dining with top-notch ingredients and a welcoming atmosphere,” as the brand’s website says. “Perfect for gatherings, catering, or a casual meal—join us for an unforgettable experience!”
