The intersection of Sixth Avenue South and 22nd Street South is the future home of a new restaurant. Plan review paperwork was submitted recently by Kikis Cuban Food LLC for a project called “Eat Art Love,” at 2206 Sixth Ave. S.

Behind Kikis Cuban Food LLC is owner Jose Martinez. What Now reached out to Martinez on Friday to ask about the upcoming restaurant. Martinez confirmed news of the project and said it is still several months away from opening.

Martinez declined to make any further immediate comment on the project, leaving some unanswered questions about what Eat Art Love will have on the menu. (Can we expect Cuban cuisine?) What Now is awaiting further information.

Opening on the northwest corner of the intersection between Sixth-22nd intersection, Eat Art Love will open near galleries like Duncan McClellan Gallery and Soft Water Gallery. Food and drink spots located in the area include The Urban Stillhouse and Bayboro Brewing Company.
