Tommy Villani, the local restaurateur behind Irma’s Tacos is gearing up to launch his new namesake concept, Villani & Co., a steak, seafood, and raw bar located at 19790 Wellen Park Blvd early next year.
According to Villani, the bar will be the “feature focus” of the contemporary American restaurant, “with our raw bar display and a backlit bar featuring over 100 bourbon, whiskey, and scotch options with an extensive, fun, and unique cocktail menu.”
Meanwhile, the food menu features staples such as Grilled RIbeye, Veal Chop Milanese, and a Grilled Porterhouse, as well as Squid Ink Lobster Linguini, Grilled Chilean Verlasso Salmon, and the Batter-Fried Gulf of Mexico “featured catch.” Meatless options include an Impossible Wellen Burger, Porcini Mushroom Risotto, and Impossible Meatloaf. What’s more, there will also be a “weekly special board that will feature prime cuts of meat and fresh seafood served with choice of sides and sauce.”
The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner, as well as Sunday brunch.
Villani tells What Now Tampa that “The interior will boast a big city contemporary feel with white brick walls, lots of windows, and natural light,” adding, “A massive back bar will be the center focus of the restaurant and an inviting place for daily happy hour featuring our raw bar, burgers, and drink specials.”
News of Villani & Co. comes on the heels of What NowTampa’s reporting from last week regarding a new Irma’s that Villani and his OTW Restaurant Group will be launching in Sarasota around the middle of 2023.
