Founded in St. Petersburg in 2019, Pete’s Bagels has since grown to include a second location in Ybor City, and it’s now working to launch a second location in its St. Pete hometown.

The bagel brand recently signed a lease to open its second St. Pete outpost at the Harbordale Standard Oil Station, according to coverage by the Tampa Bay Times.

“The menu will be an express version of what they do at the other locations, with an expanded coffee and espresso program,” says the Tampa Bay Times coverage. “They’ll be using a new coffee roaster, Look Alive Coffee, which will be opening soon in the Grand Central District.”

The menu has featured Bagel Sandwiches like The Original Pete (cream cheese, lox, capers, dill, cucumber, pickled red onion), the Millennial Pete (avocado, everything seasoning, arugula, pickled red onion), and the Salty Pete (house made jam, cream cheese on a salt bagel).

“Our bagels are hand-rolled and boiled daily, baked in the morning and gone by the end of the day,” says the Pete’s Bagels website. “We hope that you will love our mix of handmade pastries, local goods and house-made sandwiches. We strive to make pete’s feel like the neighborhood corner store from your childhood.”
