“Exciting Changes Ahead!” began an Instagram post published by fast-casual brand Salem’s Fresh Eats back in February. “Our Southside Lakeland location at 101 E Memorial Blvd will be closing for remodeling starting February 3rd 2025! But don’t worry—we’ll be back better than ever!”

Some months have passed, and the reopening appears to be getting to close. The brand, which has more than a dozen locations in the Greater Tampa Bay area, submitted plan review paperwork for the location on East Memorial Boulevard.

Featuring fried fish and shrimp, gyros, Philly cheesesteaks, and burgers, Salem’s is an eclectic menu. There are also Buffalo wings, chicken tenders, and even chicken gizzards, along with Big Bowls sporting proteins like fish, shrimp and chicken. All this will be available again in the Southside Lakeland location before long!

What Now reached out on Friday to Salem’s Fresh Eats CEO Salem Gharsalli to ask about plans for the relaunch (and the details on that remodel). Gharsalli was not immediately available for comment.
