The Athenaeum Brew Lounge (ABL, for short) is shaping up to be the perfect place for bibliophiles to gather and enjoy locally brewed beer. The concept has made appearances at local beer festivals but had yet to find a permanent home—until now, that is. According to recent coverage by That’s So Tampa, the ABL has secured a permanent home for itself at 14135 Seventh Street in Dade City.

The project, headed up by Andria and Chris Roscart and longtime beer brewer Simon Brooks, will combine a brewery space with a relaxing spot to gather around books and other community activities. They are also building a library of books, with hundreds of titles already donated (you can view them here).

“Andria set out to create the perfect brew lounge in Florida,” reads the That’s So Tampa coverage. “She envisioned a place where friends and family could come together to enjoy quality beer, play trivia, sing karaoke, and create lasting memories.”

The ABL’s brews have included Kölshhh (Kölsch), Dream Story (Vienna Lager), and Booktober (Märzen). It is not yet known whether the ABL will serve food.
