With well over two thousand locations in the United States, Wingstop is an established contender in the chicken wing space. Founded in 1994, the brand has exploded with growth, coming to encompass the globe.

That growth shows no sign of stopping in the Tampa Bay region, as submitted plan review documents show a new Wingstop opening at 7827 Palm River Road in Tampa, in the retail center on the southeast corner of the intersection with South 78th Street.

“Wingstop is the destination when you crave fresh never faked wings, hand-cut seasoned fries and any of our famous sides,” says the Wingstop website. “For people who demand flavor in everything they do, there’s only Wingstop – because it’s more than a meal, it’s a flavor experience.”

Those flavors include sauces like the Sweet Chili Glaze, the super-hot Atomic, sweet-but-still-super-hot Mango Habanero, and more.

Opening in the retail center at 78th and Palm River, Wingstop would join other fast casual brands operating there, including Subway and McDonald’s.

What Now reached out on Thursday to franchisee Marc Hermann regarding plans for the opening. Hermann was not immediately available for comment.
