Anejo Restaurant, a premier tequila bar and Mexican eatery with multiple locations across Canada, is getting ready to open a new location in Toronto at 26 Market Street.

Located just steps from the historic St. Lawrence Market, the new Anejo will offer handcrafted cocktails and popular Mexican dishes like tableside guacamole and Quesabirria tacos, according to the company’s website. The restaurant is designed for any occasion—whether it’s after-work drinks, weekend plans, or a casual night out. Daily Happy Hour specials and a lively atmosphere will add to the experience. Zach Apostoleris, area manager for Anejo Restaurants, tells What Now Toronto that this location is expected to open on June 16 and says they are looking forward to being a part of such an amazing neighborhood.

When the new location opens, customers can expect Canada’s largest tequila selection, featuring over 200 varieties of agave spirits. Anejo’s staff will help guide guests through a curated list of tequilas, mezcals, and craft cocktails. The menu highlights elevated Mexican cuisine made with quality ingredients. Signature dishes include Molcajete de Carne and Scallop Esquites. These options combine traditional flavours with a modern approach.

Anejo is owned by Franworks Group of Companies, based in Calgary, Alberta. Franworks also owns other restaurant brands, including Original Joe’s, State & Main, Elephant & Castle, and Blanco Cantina. In 2016, Recipe Unlimited acquired a majority stake in these brands. Anejo has locations in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, and Banff. The brand continues to grow, with a new location opening soon on Market Street in downtown Toronto. The new Anejo Restaurant is close to some of Toronto’s top spots, including the Distillery District, Berczy Park, the Hockey Hall of Fame, Meridian Hall, and the Gooderham Building.
