Jollibee was founded in the Philippines in 1978 and has grown into an international chain. The company describes itself on its website as the largest fast food chain in the Philippines. Its other Ontario locations include Toronto, Ajax, Mississauga, Scarborough, Brampton, and Thornhill.

According to the company’s website, Jollibee’s menu centers on Chickenjoy fried chicken, along with chicken sandwiches, burgers, French fries, and pies such as the Peach Mango Pie. The chain also serves Jolly Spaghetti, a Filipino-style dish made with a sweet tomato sauce, ground beef, sliced hot dogs, and cheese, according to Urbanicity. Other menu items include palabok, a Filipino noodle dish.

Jollibee first tested the Hamilton market in 2021 with a temporary mobile kitchen outside Lime Ridge Mall. The pop-up was run in partnership with the delivery app DoorDash, according to Urbanicity.

The company also offers catering packages that serve 20 or more guests and a rewards program, according to its website. Customers can order through the Jollibee app for pickup or delivery.
