UNIQLO is preparing to open a new flagship store on Market Street in downtown San Francisco, returning to the city after previously closing its large Powell Street location. The company’s official store-opening information lists the new store at 801 Market St. with an opening date of October 9, 2026.
The new location is part of UNIQLO’s broader 2026 U.S. expansion. The retailer announced that it planned new stores in several major markets, including a flagship location in downtown San Francisco. The 801 Market Street location occupies space previously associated with Old Navy, which left the property in 2023.
The company identified 801 Market Street as its San Francisco address. The store will offer UNIQLO’s LifeWear apparel for women, men, children, and babies. According to the company’s current store listing, the Market Street location will also offer several services, including Ship to Store, UTme! custom printing, selected pants hemming, a Repair Studio and embroidery.
UNIQLO’s UTme! service allows customers to create customized T-shirts and tote bags, while the RE.UNIQLO services focus on garment repair and embroidery. The company has said that selected new stores will include these services as part of its approach to extending the use and lifespan of clothing.
