A popular New American restaurant has officially closed in Bethesda. Woodmont Grill, the cherished neighborhood spot, has permanently closed after serving the Washington D.C. area for more than 30 years. Patrons often visited the Bethesda location for a variety of signature bites and drinks.
Woodmont Grill Closes Its Doors After 33 Years

The popular New American staple, Woodmont Grill, confirmed its closure via a farewell message shared through its website.
The message reads, “Woodmont Grill is now closed. Thank you for choosing us as a dining destination and allowing us to be a part of your lives with many fond memories of good food and cheer.”
Woodmont Grill’s sudden closure comes after 33 years of serving classic American cuisine. The Bethesda-based dining destination was also much-loved for its tempting and varied sushi offerings.
A notable part of the farewell address is that Woodmont Grill’s food operations will keep going at its other locations across the U.S. “We hope to have the pleasure of seeing you again at one of our other restaurants,” the address reads.
Woodmont Grill has curated hearty meals and drinks at 7715 Woodmont Ave since it opened its doors for the first time in 1992. Over the years, foodies from across Washington D.C. visited the establishment for tempting items in a composed ambiance.
Some menu highlight items include house-made veggie burgers, Thai Noodle Salad, Hiramasa Roll, Rotisserie Chicken, Spicy Tuna Roll, and more delicacies. French Martini, Le Boulevardier, and Jackrabbit are a few drinks that were served at Woodmont Grill.
After 33 years of serving the Bethesda community, the sudden closure of Woodmont Grill concludes a defining period of the culinary scene of Washington, D.C. While the physical outlet is certain to close, its decades of legacy can live on through the different sister locations across the country.
