The trio behind a few of DC’s vibrant nightclubs and restaurant concepts are now coming together again to open a new juice bar and restaurant concept called Llamabar.
Llamabar is slated to open in September at 1 M St. SE building near Nationals Park, according to Bisnow. The new concept will span a 2,000-square-feet space and will be run by co-owners Wayne Johnson, Tony Perry, and Kyle Eubanks.
Perry and Johnson own nightclubs Saint Yves at Connecticut Ave and Abigail at 1730 M St NW in DC, and they have partnered with Eubanks to open ramen bar Kitsuen in 2019.
Johnson, Perry, and Eubanks are now introducing a different concept with Llamabar, featuring a smoothie bar and a menu that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with dishes ranging from salads, and avocado toast, to açai bowls.
Llamabar’s indoor seating area has a capacity for about 60 guests, while its outdoor patio can take around six more tables. The spot will also be remote-work friendly.
“Remote work is the thing of the future, so we wanted to make it a comfortable space you could do that in, have tea, coffee, juice, a smoothie, lunch wrap or dinner in that space, you can get work done and its an encouraging coworking environment,” Johnson said told Bisnow.
