Restaurateur Michael Rafidi, the owner of Michelin-starred restaurant Albi, plans to open a rooftop bar and bistro called La’ Shukran.
La’Shukran, which is Arabic for “no, thank you,” will be located above the upcoming Yellow Café, another restaurant and cafe that Rafidi owns, in Union Market, Axios reported earlier this month.
The third Yellow Café spot will open in 2024, according to the restaurant’s website, and it is expected to feature a test kitchen and cuisine with wood-fired grill dishes.
Meanwhile, La’Shukran is expected to sit above the new Yellow Café and present live music.
A spokesperson for Rafidi’s restaurants told What Now DC that La’Shukran will open in 2024, but said that more details about the concept will be announced later.
