Baltimore-based Rye Street Tavern will be reimagined under the new Clyde’s Restaurant Group ownership, featuring full-scale renovations and it will open at the same location in March 2024.

“We’re taking Rye Street Tavern over and currently demolishing the kitchen, putting in a new kitchen, and redesigning the space to open in March 2024,” Clyde’s Restaurant Group’s spokesperson told What Now DC on Monday.

The restaurant group is carrying out “significant improvements” to the existing two-story restaurant building. The redesigned space will feature a large outdoor dining area with waterfront views of the Patapsco River, distinctive bars, and private event spaces.

The redesigned restaurant will be furnished with art that celebrates the culture and heritage of Baltimore. It will also include an oyster bar and a 75-seat island bar as the centerpiece of the outdoor dining area.

Rye Street Tavern’s menu will feature Sagamore Spirit Rye, which is produced in a distillery located in the area adjacent to the restaurant.

Clyde’s Restaurant Group runs some of DC’s high-end restaurants and bars. Rye Street Tavern will be the group’s first Baltimore restaurant.
