Having already made a splash in the “D” and “V” of the DMV, a popular regional restaurant is preparing to dip its toes into the “M”. Agora is bringing its delicious Mediterranean cuisine to Bethesda, and it will be ready to serve guests next year, reports the Washington Business Journal.

The restaurant will be breathing new life into the ground floor space at One Bethesda Metro Center, 7400 Wisconsin Avenue that previously housed The Daily Grill. The 6,500 square foot space has been vacant since The Daily Grill closed in 2021. Locals will have to wait a little longer before they can once again dine in the storefront; Agora ownership is aiming for a summer of 2026 opening.

Agora will feature a patio for visitors hoping to enjoy their meals outdoors. The Bethesda restaurant will be the concept’s largest home to date and owners Betul and Ismail Uslu plan to take full advantage of the added space. Fans of the eatery can look forward to sampling a larger menu in a vaster dining room.

Agora has charmed DC and Tysons through its commitment to offering a range of Mediterranean dishes. The website explains: “Immerse yourself in a world of passion as we take your taste buds on a journey through Greece, Lebanon, and Turkey. Our culinary traditions, handed down through generations, ensure that only the finest spices and flavors grace your plate.”
