The Annapolis restaurant scene is losing a Caribbean favorite, but gaining a fresh Mexican concept. Atlas Restaurant Group is bringing delicious burritos and tacos to the local waterfront when its newest concept Armada moves into the space vacated by Pusser’s Caribbean Grille, reports Eater Washington DC.

The cantina and tequila bar will be occupying a portion of the space at 80 Compromise Street that last housed Pusser’s. Armada’s home at the Marriott’s Annapolis Waterfront Hotel will provide seating for up to 200 guests. Local foodies who prefer to enjoy the view while feasting on their tacos have reason to rejoice; the eatery will be offering al fresco dining for up to 100 visitors.

While a precise opening date is not yet available, Atlas states that future regulars can look forward to sampling Armada’s cuisine in summer of 2025. The space still needs to undergo relatively extensive renovations before feeding hungry visitors.

In addition to offering superior cuisine, Armada promises to take full advantage of its distinctive location. The website describes Atlas’s vision for the location, stating “Nestled along the dock, Armada invites guests to savor the flavors of Mexico with a menu featuring authentic Mexican cuisine. From a wide range of tacos, burritos, quesadillas and more, Armada promises a culinary experience enriched by bold and vibrant flavors. The beverage menu is anchored by an extensive selection of tequila and agave spirits, inviting patrons to explore the diverse world of libations while soaking in the ambiance of waterfront dining.“
