One of DC’s best and most venerated Korean restaurants is on the move. Bangpop, known for its authentic but innovative approach to cuisine, is relocating to Palisades in 2025.

The beloved establishment is moving from 2800 10th Street NE to 4418 Macarthur Boulevard NW, Suite 1-B. Paperwork filed with the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration states that the space will allow Bangpop room to greet and feed up to 18 customers. The hours of operation are slated to be 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week.

Owner Yong Baak tells What Now DC that it is still too early in the process to estimate an opening date, however promises to share further information once it becomes available.

Bangpop offers diners a superior culinary experience. The eatery prioritizes quality, while continually working to ensure the quickest and most satisfying restaurant experience. Additionally, Bangpop works hard to craft a sustainable menu.

Management can claim over 25 years of serving delicious Korean food to the DMV. The website explains the key to its success, stating: “We took the authentic flavors we grew up with and innovated new, surprising recipes that you can feel good about eating. Focusing on ingredients purchased locally, organically, or without antibiotics and hormones, we’re cultivating a better way to eat Korean.”
