One of the DMV’s hippest fusion concepts is bringing the heat to Virginia this spring. Bar Chinois, known for pairing French cocktails with Chinese cuisine, is opening an Arlington location later this year, reports Eater Washington DC.
The restaurant, which has earned recognition from the Michelin Guide, is bringing its distinctive fare and lively atmosphere to 244 19th Court South. While a precise opening date is not presently available, Arlington locals should be able to stop in for a bite and a drink sometime this spring.
Despite being a relatively young concept-the tavern entered the hospitality scene in 2021-Bar Chinois has already earned considerable acclaim. In addition to its Michelin nod, the watering hole can claim the title of RAMMY’s 2024 Best Bar in DC.
Bar Chinois’ menu features a range of dim sum favorites including char siu chicken rice and misozuke salmon rice. Those with a yen for a cocktail can choose between fruit-forward or booze-forward options.
