Bethesda taco enthusiasts have a new reason to be excited. Bartaco, a fun, casual concept that focuses on “upscale street tacos”, has been working on a location at Pike & Rose, and progress is moving quickly, according to a report by Robert Dyer.

The New York-based chain will be making its Bethesda debut at 11886 Grand Park Avenue; the taqueria will be taking over the space vacated by Nada. While an opening date has not yet been announced, construction has visibly been underway. Photos show that the work is ongoing, however progress has been rapid and impressive. Additionally, Bartaco has begun accepting applications for the location, suggesting the restaurant will be ready for customers in the not-too-distant future.

Bartaco entered the fast-casual dining scene in 2010. The menu quickly won over fans, thanks to its varied selection of imaginative tacos, featuring innovative options like the roasted brussel sprouts taco and roasted duck taco. Bartaco isn’t only for the taco lovers, however; the restaurant’s menu also offers rice bowls, poke, and kimchi, among other delectable dishes.
