A local restaurant group is joining two great American passions-baseball and delicious sandwiches-in DC, just in time for the MLB’s 2024 season. Knead Hospitality  + Design is opening Beresovsky’s Deli across from the National’s park this spring, reports Eater Washington DC.

The deli, which will focus on classic sandwiches, will be occupying 1,500 square feet at 1201 Half Street, SE. The space most recently housed Mah-Ze-Dahr. When Beresovsky’s opens in conjunction with the baseball season, the eatery will be open daily from 11 am to 8 pm.

The eatery will offer a wide range of deli favorites to hungry baseball fans eager to fortify themselves with hearty fare before enjoying the big game. Beresovky’s menu will feature favorites including Reubens, tuna melts, and chicken salad sandwiches. Diners uninterested in sandwiches will still be able to sate their appetites; the restaurant will also serve latkes, bagels, matzo ball soup, and pierogies.
