A DMV restaurant group is preparing to bring a taste of Thailand to Chevy Chase. Dok Khao Thai Eatery, which already has a small but mighty presence across the region, will be opening a new location in the Chevy Chase Lake development, reports the Washington Business Journal.

The popular Thai eatery will occupy 3,761 square feet on the ground floor of the Ritz-Carlton Residences. While Dok Khao doesn’t yet have a precise opening date available, the restaurant will begin greeting customers in its new 8551 Connecticut Avenue home this spring.

Helmed by the Pattana Restaurant Group, a driving force behind the DMV region’s Thai dining scene, Dok Khao currently has two locations open and in operation; one in Columbia, Maryland and the other in Woodbridge, Virginia. In addition to the upcoming Chevy Chase location, the concept is developing a storefront in Oakville, Virginia.

Porntipa Pattanameker, co-founder of the Pattana Restaurant Group, previously described the Dok Khao dining experience to What Now DC, saying: “Dok Khao is the garden-style cafe serving local Thai street food with crafted cocktails, Asian bubble tea, multiple selections of homemade dessert, and specialty coffee. Dok Khao will be your neighborhood place to spend time by yourself or with friends and families. Coming for lunch, grabbing a nice cup of coffee, sipping refreshing cocktails, dining in a garden cafe, and sharing desserts, we’ve got you covered.”

Pattana Restaurant Group has established itself as a name to trust in the regional dining scene; the hospitality group can claim several beloved concepts, including: Tiki Thai, Sense of Thai, Bird’s Eye Thai, and the Thai at restaurants.
