The countdown until the opening of Herndon’s next great fast-casual obsession has officially begun. Locals eagerly anticipating the arrival of Chicken Salad Chick, a concept that specializes in creative interpretations of the titular dish, now have an exact date to mark on their calendars, and the restaurant plans to make its November debut incredibly memorable.
Chicken Salad Chick will be opening in a 2,700 square foot space at 494 Elden Street, Suite 200, as part of the Herndon Centre. Local franchisee Devon Chamberlin generously made some time to speak with What Now DC about the upcoming November 18 opening-and what makes the new storefront so special. “We are SO excited for our grand opening in Herndon” she says, adding “We cannot wait to welcome guests to the third Northern Virginia location of Chicken Salad Chick (and the first with a dog-friendly patio.)”
Chamberlin explains that while of course the main draw is sampling Chicken Salad Chick’s 12 varieties of chicken salad, the grand opening will offer a taste of excitement before patrons even enter the door. She states: “We will have a fun photo booth that guests can enjoy while waiting for us to open our doors on grand opening day!”
Future customers who can’t make the November 18 debut still have plenty to look forward to (beyond having a new favorite neighborhood spot to grab a bite); Chicken Salad Chick isn’t limiting its celebration to just one day. Chamberlin explains: “We have tons of freebies that guests can get excited for, for the entire grand opening week.”
Chicken Salad Chick has become a favorite in every location it’s entered, and between the delicious cuisine and the passion of the team behind the restaurant, Herndon is certain to be no exception. Chamberlin offers this lovely summation: “ We’ve been so humbled by the response to our other Northern Virginia locations in Falls Church and Fairfax, and we’re excited to continue growing with the opening of our Herndon restaurant. This community means so much to us, and we can’t wait to celebrate with everyone soon.”
