The burger and fries combination has long dominated the fast-casual scene, but diners are beginning to demand more and varied options. Innovative restaurateurs have risen to the challenge, bringing more and more creative fare to the figurative table. Chicken Salad Chick in particular has been applying its unique vision to the market, spreading its titular dish across a dining landscape hungry for new choices. Luckily for Leesburg diners, local franchisee Devon Chamberlin is preparing to introduce the distinctive chain to the neighborhood, reports local media outlet The Burn.

Chamberlin generously confirmed to What Now DC that she and her team have signed a lease for a storefront in the South King Street shopping center. Chicken Salad Chick is taking over the space at 842 South King Street that formerly housed John Marshall Bank. The building’s previous purpose provides Chamberlin and her crew with a unique opportunity; she explains that the new restaurant will be her group’s first Northern Virginia drive-thru.

Chamberlin states that her team is actively developing the location-she states: “we are working with our architectural firm, MSW, on a floor plan as we speak.”

Chamberlin says that Leesburg diners can look forward to sampling Chicken Salad Chick’s cuisine in late 2025 or early 2026, depending on how permits and construction plays out.

Chicken Salad Chick first entered the fast-casual dining scene in Alabama in 2008, the passion project of Stacy and Kevin Brown. The concept quickly dispelled any fears foodies might have about the potential limitations of the menu-Chicken Salad Chick offers a dozen varieties of its specialty, made fresh daily. Guests can enjoy their chicken salad on a sandwich, a salad, or just as a delicious scoop. This unusual approach to fast-casual fare has paid off; Chicken Salad Chick now has more than 300 storefronts spread out over 21 states.
