Olney foodies are getting a little bit closer to enjoying delicious, fast-casual salads. Construction has begun on a new Chopt location in the Fair Hill Shopping Center, reports local media outlet Taste DMV.

The popular chain will be taking over the space at 18123 Town Center Drive last occupied by Moss Chiropractic. Chopt does not currently have an opening date set for its Olney location, however it is improbable the restaurant will open before 2025.

Chopt served its first made-to-order salad in New York in 2001. The chain has grown to include 90 locations, with an eye aimed towards further expansion.

Chopt sets itself apart from other fast-casual restaurants by serving healthier options, prepared with fresh ingredients provided by the local community. The website states the company’s ethos, saying: “We commit ourselves to a better process, start to finish. That means buying local produce and developing relationships with farmers along the way. It means seeking out unique artisans from around the world. And it means giving you a better tasting, better quality experience.”
