DC diners, get ready to say “goodbye” to boring salads. CHOPT, the self-described “creative salad company”, is gearing up to open a new District store in Upton Place, and signage suggests it’s coming soon, reports local media outlet PoPville.

The healthier fast-casual chain will be joining the mixed-use building located at 4000 Wisconsin Avenue NW in a 2,520 square foot storefront. It is not yet clear when, precisely, the eatery will be open and ready for business, however signage is up in the windows. The Upton Place location is not yet listed on the CHOPT website, however.

CHOPT is not a newcomer to the DC scene; the restaurant currently has 6 locations open across the District.

CHOPT served up its first salad in New York in 2001, with the objective of making healthy dining more dynamic and exciting. To that end, the restaurant offers freshly made salads with a wide range of locally sourced ingredients, alongside warm bowls, and wraps.
