A DMV sensation is preparing to heat up Crystal City this summer. Colada Shop, known for its authentic Cuban cuisine and delicious cocktails, is opening its seventh store later this year, reports ARLNow.

The eatery will be opening at 269 19th Court Street in The Grace apartment building along the pedestrian walkway. Colada Shop is no stranger to Virginia; the Crystal City location will be the brand’s third store in the state. A precise opening date is not currently available for the storefront, however Colada Shop is hoping for a summer opening.

Colada Shop first entered the DMV dining scene in 2016. Founder Daniella Senior created the concept to help share Cuban flavors and hospitality with DC and surrounding areas. Colada Shop’s website explains the restaurant’s mission statement, saying: “Colada has since expanded to multiple stores in the DMV area, serving as a gathering space for good, food, coffee, cocktails and conversation.”

Crystal City foodies can look forward to enjoying empanadas, croquetas, and pastelitos. The impressive menu also features a slew of breakfast options, sandwiches, bowls, salads, and soups. Coffee enthusiasts will be delighted to sample Colada Shop’s vast range of java drinks, both hot and cold.
