Falls Church is getting its own little taste of Italy. Costiera Pizzeria Napoletana is bringing authentic, wood-fired pies alongside a menu full of pasta, salads, and small dishes to the area, and it will be ready to serve guests in the near future.
The restaurant is setting up shop at 1106 W Broad Street, Suite A. Owner Hamed Mohmand was kind enough to speak with What Now DC about introducing Costiera Pizzeria Napoletana to the neighborhood and what future customers can look forward to. “I currently own one of the locations for the same concept with a partner in Herndon.” he explains. “I’ve had that location for the past 4 years. I was born and raised in Germany and when I moved here in 2007 I couldn’t find a really good pizza place. So I decided to open something really authentic, with a wood-fired oven.”
Mohmand explains that Costiera Pizzeria Napoletana will offer more than just great pizza. The 2,100 square foot restaurant will provide an entire dining experience, certain to delight Falls Church locals. “Everything is high-end, authentic.” Mohmand states. “We’ll have dine-in and carry out available. We will have a bar and will have plenty of seating outdoors. We’ll have some indoors as well.”
Costiera Pizzeria Napoletana’s Falls Church location is one of several Mohmand hopes to launch. “The idea is to open 10 more locations over the next few years.” he explains. “All of them will be in the Northern Virginia area. Location is very important so we want to make sure we have the right demographics.”
In the more immediate future, however, Falls Church diners can look forward to sampling the concept’s delicious pizza, pasta, small plates, salads, and desserts in early March, though a precise opening date is not yet available.
