A popular steakhouse chain is preparing to add a fresh burst of Brazilian flavors to DC. Fogo de Chão is bringing its distinctive cuisine to the Wharf, reports the Washington Business Journal.

The restaurant will be serving DC diners out of a 7,500 square foot space at 698 Maine Avenue, SW. The sprawling space will allow for outdoor seating on an included summer garden patio. A precise opening date is not yet available, however the Wharf location is one of several Fogo de Chão plans to open over the next 24 months.

Barry McGowan, the CEO of the venerable chain, explained the draw of the Wharf, stating “The Wharf’s waterfront location was particularly enticing to us as it embodies our brand transformation in terms of design and ambiance. Without a doubt, the location promises to be warm, inviting, and timeless to help fulfill the culinary preferences of both locals and visitors.”
