As the fast-casual dining scene has expanded, so too have prospective customers’ expectations and needs. Potential patrons look to their preferred chains to offer sustainable, delicious, and healthier options without sacrificing reasonable price tags and swift service. Fortunately for Franconia diners, a concept with a commitment to providing all of the above is preparing to serve local diners. California Fish Grill is bringing sustainable practices and flavorful options to the local market later this year, reports the Washington Business Journal.

The restaurant will be greeting future regulars at 7003A Manchester Boulevard in a space that previously housed a Baja Fresh. While locals still have a little while to wait, they won’t need to exercise too much patience; California Fish Grill is projecting a mid-November opening for its Franconia location.

No two California Fish Grill locations are exactly the same; CEO Bob Holden explains “All of our sites are a little different. They’re tenant improvement sites, and we adjust our brand identity within those sites.”

The concept has made a name for itself through its exacting standards regarding its ingredients. The website explains: “We only serve seafood that is rated Best Choice or Good Alternative by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch® program or Eco-Certified by a third party.”

California Fish Grill is new to the East Coast, but currently has 58 locations along the West Coast-mostly in California, as the name suggests.
