Maman, a New York City-based bakery, restaurant, and cafe, is opening two new locations in DC.

The Southern France-inspired brand applied for a liquor license this week to open a location at 750 9th St. NW and another at 1300 Yards Place SE. An opening date for both locations hasn’t been announced yet.

Its Yard Place location will seat up to 70 guests and hold a total occupancy load of 149 people, according to the liquor license application. It will also feature a sidewalk cafe that will seat up to 40 people.

Meanwhile, the French restaurant’s 9th Street location will seat up to 64 guests and have a total Occupancy Load of 149. Maman, the French word for mother, has other DC locations including one in Georgetown and another in Union Market.

The French eatery, which has 20 locations in New York City alone, serves a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes. Its menu includes coffee, pastries, cocktails, smoked salmon, avocado salads, egg ratatouille, and turkey sandwiches with goat cheese and fig.
