A rising star of the DMV area dining scene is working on solidifying its place among DC bakeries by opening a new shop. Fresh Baguette is bringing its signature interpretation of the titular carbs to New York Avenue, reports popular Twitter feed @eat_dc.

The new eatery, located at 1440 New York Avenue NW, will put Fresh Baguette very near the White House, a location certain to receive considerable foot traffic. An opening timeline is not currently available.

Fresh Baguette currently has two DC locations in operation; one in Cleveland Park and another in Georgetown. However, the bakery is eager to ensure the scent of freshly baked bread fills the District’s streets; in addition to the storefront opening on New York Avenue, the eatery is working on a shop in Penn Quarter.

Fresh Baguette has set itself apart from the competition by painstakingly crafting authentic French treats. The bakery uses equipment imported from France to ensure the best possible final product. The menu offers a wide array of delicious cuisine, both sweet and savory, ranging from croissants to homemade quiches.
