Hen Quarter, a southern fried chicken joint, plans to open a new waterfront location at River Point, DC.

The new location at 2121 1st Street SW can seat up to 202 guests. It will also have an outdoor area that can seat up to 24 people, according to a liquor license application filed for the restaurant recently.

An opening date hasn’t been announced, but the website says the new River Point restaurant will open “soon.”

“Are you ready for stunning waterfront views steps from Nationals Stadium and Audi Field?  We are and we can’t wait to open this marquee location in the exciting neighborhood of River Pont!” the website read.

Hen Quarter, which is one of the concepts run by Thompson Hospitality, celebrates southern cuisine, serving various options from fried chicken with corn and cheddar waffle, and crispy honey chicken salad, to a basket of warm biscuits.
