A Harbor East institution is preparing to serve its final meal. Ouzo Bay, a Greek restaurant from the prolific Atlas Restaurant Group, is closing its doors for the final time in February, but the building won’t stay vacant for long. The hospitality group will be debuting a new concept in the space next year, reports the Baltimore Business Journal.

Ouzo Bay will shut its doors for the last time on February 15. Local lovers hoping to enjoy one final romantic meal in its dining room can rest easy; the restaurant is still doing a Valentine’s Day service.

It is not yet clear what, precisely, Ouzo Bay’s replacement will be. Whatever the next tenant of 1000 Lancaster Street turns out to be, it is inheriting a prime space. The building can accommodate up to 200 customers and offers indoor and outdoor seating.

Atlas’s president and CEO Alex Smith explains that the hospitality group has no intentions of abandoning the neighborhood. He states: “While this chapter is coming to a close, we are excited to welcome guests back in spring/summer 2027 to a completely reimagined space and an all-new concept that will bring fresh energy to the city. We are proud to reinvest in Harbor East, especially in what we believe is one of Baltimore’s most exceptional waterfront locations.”

What Now DC will update readers as further details-including the name and nature of the new restaurant-emerge.
