Few figures have had a more profound impact on the American dining scene than Italian grandmothers. These matriarchs have shaped cuisines in their own kitchens and in the country at large. Grazie Nonna, a celebrated DC restaurant concept, is bringing grandma-inspired gratitude and dishes to a new DMV location; the eatery is opening its second location, this time in Reston, reports local media outlet The Burn.
The eatery is setting up its kitchen in the RTC Next section of the Reston Town Center. Grazie Nonna will occupy a 5,600 square foot space in the 2000 Opportunity Way development. A precise opening timeline is not presently known, only that the Italian establishment will be ready to greet guests at some point next year.
The concept comes from Casey Patten, the restaurateur who is also behind the Grazie Grazie sandwich shop. Grazie Nonna is more of a traditional Italian eatery, with a menu full of favorites including pizza, macaroni, and insalata.
