Growing DMV Chain Hoping to Bring the Flavor to Maryland

In news certain to make Maryland foodies’ pulses race, one of the hottest tickets in the DC dining scene is courting plans to expand into the state. Flavor Hive, a viral sensation that’s enjoyed a big year, is scouting locations for a Maryland brick and mortar, reports local media outlet MoCo Show.

 

Flavor Hive, which translated social media heat into a thriving area presence, has not signed any leases. However co-founder Shihan Chowdhury states that he and his team are currently exploring locations in Gaithersburg, Rockville, and Silver Spring. 

 

Flavor Hive began as a food truck and has been making a concerted push into brick and mortar spaces. The restaurant has developed a strong fan following thanks to its delicious approach to imaginative street foods. The website explains: “At Flavor Hive, we’re passionate about small-batch, artisanal food that’s more than just sustenance – it’s an experience. We craft each product using the finest locally-sourced, sustainable ingredients to bring you something special.”

Described as “a true epicurean adventure”, Flavor Hive’s menu features rice bowls, quesadillas, pita pouches, and loaded fries. Current and future customers alike can follow the concept’s Instagram for updates, delicious pictures of food certain to set tummies rumbling, and all the news that’s fit to print. What Now DC will also update readers as further details become available regarding the Maryland expansion.
