One of DC’s most exciting and innovative restaurants is preparing to introduce its clever approach to delectable cuisine to a whole new group of hungry visitors. HalfSmoke, celebrated for creating an immersive dining experience, is opening a new location in the Skyland Town Center, according to popular Twitter feed @eat_dc.
The restaurant will be occupying a 3,950 square foot space at the intersection of Naylor Road SE and Town Center Drive. Once opened, HalfSmoke will be able to seat up to 200 visitors; the space will feature a private dining room and bar that can accommodate 20 guests, and an outdoor patio with seating for 40 patrons.
Owner Andre McCain explained the allure of the location in an interview with the Washington Business Journal, stating: “We really like the neighborhood — and how there’s a lot of growth in the neighborhood and, we think, a lot of opportunity in the neighborhood to provide high-quality, full-service dining in a neighborhood that really hasn’t had it in a really long time, if ever.”
