A popular DMV food truck may be hanging up its keys but it’s stepping on the gas. Flavor Hive, one of the most buzzed about concepts in the region, is working towards opening 5 brick and mortar locations across the greater DC-metropolitan region, reports the Washington Business Journal.

The incredibly buzzy concept, which has made a massive splash on social media, is planning storefronts in Manassas, Georgetown, and 2 spots in Alexandria. Details on these spots are a bit sparse, however Flavor Hive has plenty of information about its first restaurant; a spot in Annandale located at 4260 John Marr Drive. Even more exciting news; that particular location is on course to open by July 4.

Flavor Hive doesn’t intend to fully abandon the food truck that have made it so beloved; the concept hopes to park the mobile eateries in front of the future brick and mortars so prospective guests can get a taste of what lies in store.Flavor Hive has five locations in the works, starting with an Annandale storefront.

And what, precisely, does lie in store? The brand earned a devoted following thanks to its walking tacos but also serves a range of delicious fare including rice bowls, quesadillas, and pita pouches.
