December is bringing a fresh caffeine injection to DC denizens thirsty for a great cup of coffee. Idido’s Coffee and Social House is introducing its superior java and healthy treats to Kennedy Street later this year, according to popular Twitter feed @eat_dc.

The Arlington favorite is importing its coffee beans and pastries to 201 Kennedy Street, NW. Although a precise opening date is not currently available, Idido’s is aiming to begin pouring hot cups of joe sometime next month.

The community-minded concept currently has one Virginia location, where it serves La Colombe coffee. The cafe serves a wide range of java favorites, including cappuccino, mocha, and Americano. Guests can also enjoy an assortment of both hot and cold teas.

Hungry visitors can sate their appetites with selections from breakfast and lunch menus. Future DC regulars can look forward to starting their days right with dishes including avocado toast and breakfast bowls. Lunchtime customers can pick from a variety of sandwiches, such as pesto chicken and steak. Idido’s also offers salads and flatbreads.

The cafe states its simple but admirable purpose succinctly on its website, saying: “At Idido Coffee house, our mission is to consistently provide quality coffee, pastries and healthy light meals while exceeding customer service, and be a good neighbor.”
