Northern Virginia pizza lovers, get ready to enjoy a slice of Detroit’s finest. Franchisee Dan Kosztowny is bringing Jet’s Pizza to Herndon next year, reports the Washington Business Journal.
Kosztowny has signed a lease for 905 Herndon Parkway, in a building that last housed a Great Clips. The restaurateur has filed food and fire permit applications with Fairfax County for Jet’s, and is hoping to have the new location up and running by the Super Bowl.
The Herndon Jet’s will be the third Virginia shop opened by Kosztowny, and certainly not the last. The franchisee is signed onto open 11 restaurants in total throughout Northern Virginia.
Jet’s Pizza was founded in Sterling Heights, Michigan, in 1978. The restaurant’s signature square, deep-dish pies are made from the same recipes created by the mother of founders John and Eugene Jetts that launched the company 46 years ago. In the intervening years, the chain has expanded to include 425 storefronts across the United States.
