DC has one of the richest and most diverse dining markets. From chic speak-easies to James Beard award winning nights out, the District knows how to feed its residents and visitors. However, sometimes a hungry stomach needs something quick and convenient. Fortunately for the DMV, a fast-casual concept that doesn’t sacrifice nutrition for speed is preparing to make its auspicious entrance into the local scene. Just Salad is opening a Downtown location, and signage indicates it is coming soon, reports local media outlet PoPville.

The popular chain is bringing its healthier options to a 2,204 square foot space on the ground floor of a 1900 M St. NW office building. Construction appears to be ongoing within the space, however the front doors are wrapped with official Just Salad signage. Additionally, the eatery is actively recruiting employees, suggesting that while an opening date is not yet available for DC’s first Just Salad, customers will be able to enjoy the eatery’s fare soon.

Just Salad served up its first green concoction in 2006, and hasn’t looked back since. The chain has made a strong impression on the fast-casual scene, both through its healthy and delicious cuisine and its commitment to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint. The eatery has expanded to include more than 90 storefronts, primarily spread across the East Coast.

Those unfamiliar with the concept can look forward to sinking their teeth into a menu featuring salads (of course), warm bowls, wraps, and smoothies.
