Don’t be fooled by the name, DC; your next big fast-casual obsession is, in fact, more than Just Salads. The New York based chain is getting ready to make its DMV debut, reports the Washington Business Journal.

Committed to offering diners healthier quick-service options, Just Salad will be entering the District’s restaurant market at 1900 M Street NW. The eatery will have 2,204 square feet on the ground floor of a sprawling office building.

A precise opening timeline is not presently available for DC’s inaugural Just Salad, however a representative from the chain assures locals that they can look forward to enjoying the restaurant’s fare sometime “later this year.” They further add: “With nearly 100 locations today, we are just getting started and are excited to share Just Salad with the fantastic D.C. community soon.”

Just Salad served its first meal in 2006 in New York City. Since its early days living up to its name, the restaurant has expanded both its menu and its geographic footprint. The chain has locations in Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.

In addition to the titular salads, the concept now features wraps, warm bowls, and smoothies. Just Salad offers both house recipes and customizable options; customers with specific culinary visions will be able to create their dream dishes.
