Arlington foodies will soon have a new place to scratch their itch for creative, delicious dumplings. Laoban Dumplings is bringing its innovative interpretations of the beloved cuisine to Rosslyn this spring, reports local media outlet ARL Now.
The restaurant, named after the Chinese word for “boss”, will be opening in the Upside on Moore food hall, located at 1700 North Moore Street. The food hall and its contained eateries will begin greeting visitors in mid-March.
Laoban Dumplings is a partnership between founder Patrick Coyne and Chef Tim Ma, a five-time Michelin-award winner.
Laoban Dumplings aims to honor classic Chinese dumpling shops, while adding unique twists and unexpected ingredients to the popular dish. The concept crafts its signature dishes using ethically-sourced ingredients. In addition to the titular dumplings, customers can order noodles and salads.
Laoban Dumplings currently has only one restaurant in operation, located in Union Market in Washington, DC. However, the brand’s products are available in many stores across the country.
