Latin vegan restaurant Mita is slated to open in a new location in DC at 804 V Street, NW.

The restaurant is owned by Latin-American chefs Miguel Guerra and Tatiana Mora, and it’s known for serving dishes that range from creamy rice with maitake mushroom artichokes to Watermelon Crudo and Venezuelan Yoyo.

Mita was initially located at 1280 4th St NE, but reviewers on Yelp reported that spot to be closed. It remains unknown whether the new location would be Mita’s one and only location, Guerra didn’t reveal details about the future opening when reached out by What Now DC but said that more information will be announced later on.

The new location is set to seat up to 46 guests, according to a liquor license application that was filed earlier this month. Popville reported that it is expected to open summer 2023.
