Little Chicken will be opening a new location at The Wharf in DC after shuttering its current Midtown Center location at 1100 15th St NW. The restaurant confirmed the move on Instagram.
Little Chicken announced on its Instagram that Saturday. July 15, 2023 will be its last day at the current location and that it is set to move to the new spot which will open at 11 Pearl St. SW in fall 2023.
The fried chicken eatery is owned and operated by Grazie Grazie sub shop owner Casey Patten and restaurateurs Gerald Addison and Chris Morgan.
The owners plan to open a new project at the old spot on 1100 15th St., according to the Instagram post, teasing out the idea that a lounge called Grazie Mille will open this fall or winter.
“Stay tuned for something special in this space to open Fall/Winter 2023,” read the Instagram announcement.
In addition to its signature fried chicken, Little Chicken, which has a full bar and indoor and outdoor seating areas, is well known for its homemade hard seltzers and bonafide shuffleboard.
“We’re a boozy and fun hangout with badass chicken,” Patten previously said of his restaurant, Eater DC reported in 2022. “It’s lunch, it’s after work, it’s later in the evening – you’re not just going to come for a chicken sandwich, you’re going to want to stick and stay.”
