A long-anticipated Mexican favorite is finally seeing forward momentum for a proposed Dulles Landing location. Chipotle has submitted its construction permit applications and hopes to open before the end of the year, reports local media outlet The Burn.

The fast-casual restaurant will be occupying a parcel of land located at 24575 Dulles Landing Drive. Once constructed, the building will be 2,325 square feet.

The Mexican juggernaut will be a completely new building, constructed from the ground up. The restaurant will be located near the Wal-Mart on Highway 50.

Chatter about a Chipotle coming to Dulles Landing began in March of 2022. Forward momentum has been stalled, however Beatty Management Company, the establishment which controls Dulles Landing, stated at a recent community meeting that work could begin on Chipotle as early as April. Construction is anticipated to last between 6 and 8 months.

Founded in 1993, Chipotle allows visitors to customize their meals, utilizing an assembly-line technique to curate which ingredients are included in quesadillas, bowls, burritos, and tacos.
