Maman Joon Making its Way to Columbia Heights

The Persian eatery will be opening at 14th and Irving later this year.

DMV area foodies looking for a unique and distinctive dining option will soon have a a new option to help scratch their culinary itches. Maman Joon, a haven for authentic Persian cuisine, will begin courting DC customers later this year, reports local media outlet PoPville.

The distinctive eatery promises to offer Columbia Height an entirely unique dining experience when it opens at 14th and Irving Street. Maman Joon will be opening next to a new location of Z-Burger, also owned by entrepreneur Peter Tabibian.

While Maman Joon does not currently have an official opening date, PoPville anticipates that the eatery will begin greeting guests within approximately six weeks. 

Maman Joon strives to bring authentic Persian cuisine to DC. The restaurant offers a variety of kabobs and platters to the enthusiastic diner. The Columbia Height Maman Joon will be the concept’s fifth location, joining Tenleytown, McLean, Tyson’s Corner, and Olney on the restaurant’s roster.
