Annapolis diners looking for the authentic tastes of Italy, leave your passports at home. A Baltimore based hospitality group is bringing Marmo, a new concept with one foot firmly in the Italian countryside, to the area next year, reports Eater Washington DC.
The restaurant from the Atlas Restaurant Group will be moving into a prime and scenic location at 80 Compromise Street, in a portion of the space that previously housed Pusser’s Caribbean Grille. The space, housed within Marriott’s Annapolis Waterfront Hotel will offer both indoor and outdoor seating for up to 350 visitors. Up to 150 of those guests will be able to enjoy the view while dining outdoors.
Atlas has already found success with Marmo in Houston. However, the strategic geographic location of its impending Annapolis home will lend an added touch of ambiance and charm to the restaurant’s DMV debut.
A precise opening date is not currently available, however Atlas anticipates welcoming guests to Marmo in summer of 2025.
Annapolis foodies are certain to delight in Marmo’s unique vision. The eatery’s website offers this insight into what future regulars can expect, stating: “Marmo promises an exquisite fusion of Italian tradition and modern flair with seating for 350 guests including 150 outdoor seats. As an Italian chophouse, Marmo will offer an enticing menu featuring succulent steaks, expertly crafted chops, housemade pastas, and a bounty of fresh seafood dishes. Enthusiasts of Italian wine will delight in the extensive wine list, curated to showcase the finest selections from Italy’s renowned vineyards. Patrons can also indulge in meticulously crafted cocktails at the interior main bar or while taking in breathtaking panoramic views from the second floor terrace, complete with its own bar.”
